MARINE EXPERIENCES    MUSANDAM KHASAB TRIP

The Experience:
Khasab meaning fertility, is a quaint town lying at the base of Wadi Khasab and is the capital of Musandam. It overlooks the pristine waters of the Gulf of Oman and the Straits of Hormuz. Enjoy an early morning journey to Khasab after pick-up from Dubai via Sharjah and Ras Al Khaimah. The drive in itself is part of the experience as it crosses through and over the mountains along the scenic coastal road. On arrival at the bustling harbour of Musandam Khasab, board a traditional Omani dhow for a full day leisurely cruise to the scenic, spectacular and tranquil ‘Khor as-Sham’, the longest fjord in Musandam. The coastline is dotted with picturesque fishing hamlets and coastal villages with old stone houses. Besides having a variety of marine life, there is a good chance to spot the inquisitive, friendly and playful wild ‘bottle nosed’ and ‘spinner Dolphins’, who can delight lucky visitors with displays of aerial acrobatics.

We anchor at the famous ‘Telegraph Island’. It was a station along the telegraph cable that linked London to Iraq's southern city of Basra and onwards to Bombay. Enjoy swimming and snorkeling in the clear, inviting waters at the Telegraph and Seebi Islands. Later we sail back to Musandam Khasab harbour.

Safety Features:
The Dhow has qualified Captain, crew and is equipped with navigation compass, fire extinguishers, medical box and life jackets.

You Need To Know
	Confirmation will be received at time of making the booking
	In order to do the trip, All Guests must carry their original passports with them for visa stamping at the UAE – Oman border (Trip cost does not include visa fee)*
	Cruising  in sea is dependent on weather conditions and are subject to Oman Coast Guard approval
	Visa Information (subject to change) Most UAE residence visa holders and all citizens of GCC countries do not require a visa and may enter Oman by road on presentation of valid passport. Citizens of 59 other countries including EU, U.S, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and Japan can apply for a visa at the border. Intending visitors to Oman should remember that they should have the necessary documentation to re-enter the UAE.

Dress-Code:
Lightweight summer clothing is suitable for most of the year, but sweaters or jackets may be needed for the winter months. We recommend guests to carry swim wear for this trip.

Conditions:
We reserve the right to cancel any part or whole Musandam Khasab tour for reasons of government decisions, weather conditions and force majeure for which the clients will either be offered an alternate date for the tour or we will refund the full amount charged.
